Bon Jovi on telly singing Always, oh what a song to go to bed on!
Nite Nite xx
This was sent via email to me, thought it was good enough to share.
Had a few problems logging on earlier, kept coming up in German or my page kept coming up as page cannot be displayed. Noticed quite a few fellow bloggers having problems as well.
Been sitting here watchin Magic channel on tv - they had 100 songs from the movies on so hubby and I have been reminicising and trying to guess what the movie was the song was from. Quite funny really as hubby hasn't got a clue about music unless it is Abba, Brenda Lee, Blondie or OMD! So at one point, as Duran Duran were singing "View to a kill" he says
"Didn't everyone like these?"
Me: "I didn't"
Him: "What you didn't like Ah Ha?"
Me: "This is Duran Duran"
Him:"Didn't they sing Gold?"
Me: "No that was Spandau Ballet"
Slight pause
Him:"Oh that's right the one who appears in that film"
Me:" What film"
Him:" Dirty Dancing, he was a ballet dancer wasn't he? "
By this time I am wetting myself laughing.
Did eventually put him right poor thing shouldn't laugh I always knew he wasn't very good at music, he is however very good at reciting phrases from films starring John Wayne or Kevin Costner!
Some of the songs brought back a few memories though and ended up singing along to a lot of them. A couple from the film Grease (obviously) reminded me that my mother would never let me go and see that film yet all my friends had and how hard done by I felt. Now my children watch it and sing along to it, in comparison to some films that are on Grease is quite tame really!
Nice to listen to some of the songs from the past though I enjoyed it!
Well I have just dropped eldest off to meet his friends in town. Talk about excitement! He has gone off in his new jeans and shirt and is looking very smart indeed, for someone who is going bowling and having pizza afterwards lol! he looks so grown up bless!
The other one is glued to disney channel, Lilo and stitch is on so not going to have a hope in getting him away from that lol!
Done some ironing, not all of it, just enough to get us by for the remainder of this week, there isn't much left to do but I really have to be in the mood for ironing ![]()
I am calm.
The weather is dreadful, it is pouring down with rain outside. I have a ton of ironing to do, though eldest can do his own after yesterdays fiasco, apart from that not planning on doing much at all.
Twinges I had in my back yesterday, which I largely ignored, I fear have developed into sciatica. Had to be helped out of bed this morning, pain in spine, across hips and down back of leg - should have known better not to overdo things and really should listen to my body. ironing while sitting down today I think.
Bad nights sleep again. Woke up with a start as it felt as though someone was staring at me, but no one there then just as I was dozing I got it into my head I was choking, panic attack starts up, hubby takes 20 mins calming me down. Took ages to get of to sleep to have bad dreams. Think I am stressed as well, always sends me off this way.
God I sound like a hypochondriac! Not usually honest, just everything seems to be happening at once lately lol! One thing after another!
Today I will be happy, I wll not get stressed. Eldest is meeting up with friends in town today, so I will be taxi-ing him there and back.
Oh well enough rambling, going to get myself sorted for the day and start that ironing!
