  • Don't call us we'll call you maybe

Interview was a waste of time apparently.

Oh they said all the right things

The nice (young) bloke wrote everything down, asked a few questions, told hubby what he needed to know, then told him he was "too over qualified" for what they are looking for.

Interestingly hubby answered the advert in the paper because he had the qualifications and skills that they were looking for!

Oh well, not too bothered. Would have been nice for him to get some extra work and some variety, but he isn't that bothered.

He has another company that he knows of working in the area that he will phone and his friend has some work coming up in Barnet so we shall see. He wants the extra money to pay his credit card bill off and keep me in the life of luxury (yeah right!).:DD

So trip out to Leighton Buzzard was interesting the usual idiots using a single track road like a dual carriageway and slamming on brakes when they see a speed camera!

Chips on the way home as couldn't be bothered to cook when I got in. Resting now with the telly on might do some stitching in a bit!

  • Daddy's Home

shouts my youngest down the stairs at me.

    Yeah so what? says I.

He comes in, gets washed and changed, and says "I need you to drive me to this interview"

    "Why?" says I

" SO I am not flustered getting through the traffic and you know your way round up here better than I do"

Problem is interview isn't until 5 and I have to get to Leighton Buzzard during rush hour - great.

Doesn't explain why he came home at 12 though. Says he had enough, drove down to Hounslow today to check a light fitting that really had nothing wrong with it and then went back to the office. All the managers are out and he discovers that the reason he didn't get as much money last week as he was expecting was because he didn't get his car mileage. So he is not a happy bunny!

So now he is twiddling his thumbs and glaring at me because we really do not need to go this early in the day for a 5 o'clock interview. He has moaned about everything so far and I have sent him upstairs to help eldest son with the ps game. Should keep him occupied for a little while!

Think I will take a book with me, could be gone a while.

  • Christmas is coming......

Harrods has there Christmas Grotto up and a few decorations already. >:XX>:XX>:XX Its AUGUST!!!!!

Ok so I have got a few presents that I have bought throughout the year, but that is because I am buying as I see things in a bid not to have to go on a huge spending spree in December especially as money is tight at the moment.

BUT nothing would possess (spelt this word 3 times and it still doesn't look right) me to put decorations up yet.

For goodness sake Augus is far too early to start thinking about the looming celebration, in my opinion mid November would be better, beginning of December preferable!!

  • The Loner

I love this, have played it twice so far on the computer!

    The Loner, by Gary Moore

  • Fool for your stockings

Hubby has changed the radio station! Not a good move in the morning when it comes blaring on at 5.30 in the morning and it wakes me up sharply and it is an oldie station!

Anyway one of the songs playing was 'Fool for your stockings' by ZZ Top a band I haven't heard in a long while and brought back a few pleasant memories ruined by hubby singing along to the song badly!

Commented to hubby that the short skirts I brought recently for the summer won't be worn at this rate -not unless the weather improves anyway - it is pouring down again outside! Well they are not that short, knee length which is adventurous for me, as I tend to wear skirts that are long or trousers. I don't like my legs much, as my grandfather used to comment they are like tree trunks! So the long skirts hide them well and in Winter, I hate wearing tights so don't wear them, so the long skirts help to keep my legs warm or I resort to wearing my trousers! Think the only reason that hubby is wearing trousers this morning instead of shorts is because he has an interview later on today!

Me? think it will be a jeans day again, anyway will need to go up in the loft to see if I can find an album or two then price up how much for a new stereo. Think mine is going to give up and I really need a turntable if those ZZ Top albums are ever going to see the light of day again!
