  • Psst .............................

not that I want to depress you or anything but there are only 112 days till Christmas!

  • 7 Weeks and counting

    Till half term lol!!:D

  • First day back

    Well I survived just!

Got through mass without a hiccup, well only just because as I was about to get up from the seat my back seized up! No Eucharist for me then, I can't move lol!!

Then the rest of the day was spent with new head talking at us about changes she wants to make to the school, how we can work together as a team, what makes a 'positive ethos' of the school and how we can build upon it. We did sto for lunch for half an hour before she carried on wanting to 'pick to pieced' what was working very well.

Have to say most of it went over my head, all I want to do is walk in do my job walk out again lol!!

Classroom is in total disarray so that means the next week or so sorting it out and putting displays up!

No idea what my timetable is yet as that still hasn't been sorted out. All I do know is I have tomorrow off!

Sun has finally put in an appearance. Can't think what to have for dinner yet, hoping something will jump out and cook itself, but that is unlikely!!

  • Hi ho Hi ho its off to work we go

    Well it is here.

    Monday Morning

Back to work after 6 weeks of freedom.

Weather, dark, damp, gloomy - very suitable for my mood really lol!

Up early though as the kids don't go back yet there was no need to be, but I have done 8 mins on my swing stepper, (stopped when calf started to hurt), had some tea and now going to make some breakfast, before I hunt out my diary and get myself ready to go.

I don't have to be in till 9.30, head straight for church the letter says, though I may stop off at school on the way and see what has accumulated in my pigeon hole, depends what I feel like.

Then have all day meetings with new head and management structure - oh joy!

And so the Government has made guidelines on what school dinners should consist of. Must admit though no appetising, our school does already do what is recommend though the children don't like it much!

Woke up this morning to the news that Steve Irwin, or the Crocodile Hunter, was stung by a stingray while filming and has died aged 44. My kids love watching his programmes on telly, very informative and told them more about the wildlife than most educational programmes. He was a nutter but obviously loved his work and cared passionately about wildlife. He was however, I felt, an accident waiting to happen, he died doing what he loved most. RIP.

To everyone facing work this morning, particularly like myself who has had a long holiday, have a good day today, and a great week!
