Upon waking today I could hear the wind howling outside the house, banging the fence that separates our garden from the field that borders the woods.
Then I thought I wonder how many people will be playing golf in this?

The only reason why I thought this was because it always amazes me that whatever the weather you will see golfers playing on the golf course not far from us. I have even seen them trying to play in the snow - don't these people have a life beyond the green? Lol![]()
All joking aside it is dreadful here today with the wind. It wasn't so bad this morning but now it is so bad as I walked from the car to the school gates another mum (who was pushing a pushchair) and I had to hold onto each other as a gust of wind nearly took us off.
I usually don't pick the kids up on a Thursday. Simon walks from his school to his brothers to collect him for me and they walk home as I usually don't finish work until 3.30, but today because I knew it was getting bad I asked if I could leave 15 mins earlier, which thankfully they agreed to, so that I could collect them - I was worried about them walking home in this and as I said it nearly took me off!
Nigel has just text to say he had been wheel clamped in Islington. He is not happy, he parked where he should, and when he eventually got hold of the wheel clamping company they were very apologetic but apparently they had been told by the council to wheel clamp his following a complaint from another resident! He has been onto his company and told them to sort it out otherwise he will never be working in that area again - as it is the fitter who should have been there and has been there all week has said he will never go back there!
He is now trying to make his way home and hoping he doesn't run out of petrol as he is now out of money due to paying £65 fine to get wheel unclamped!
So I am waiting for a phonecall to tell me he is stuck somewhere and needs rescuing![]()
Like i want to go out there again.
Surprised my fence is still standing, been attacked by a wheelie bin on the way home and the street's rubbish is in my garden which will please Nigel - not! Oh well better go and see if anyone wants some dinner![]()
EDIT: Didn't have to go out afterall, hubby reached home on a wing and a prayer and amazed that he managed to get so far on so little petrol
