The sun is trying to appear through very dark clouds. It rained here last night, but thankfully nothing like as serious as some parts of the country are getting it.
People are being airlifted from their houses in case a dam holding back the Ulley reservoir threatened to break. Three people have lost their lives in the floods, people on the radio telling how they have lost their homes - as we sat and watched it on the news yesterday hubby commented on it being like something you see overseas, not on our little isle.
Scary.
There are flood warnings in most areas. Though not here yet, I know that the River Lea burst its banks near the town centre yesterday and as that is a stream most of the time, it makes you realise just how much rain we have had, though in all honesty nothing like the people in Yorkshire who had a Month's worth in one day.
The radio has issued a list of roads in England and Wales that are closed today due to them being under water. Lots in Shropshire, Yourkshire obviously.
My heart goes out to all those affected.
