Just for a change, I woke up early, while it was still dark, happy in my mind and happy it was Monday.
Felt fine when I got up, still bunged up but a shot of beconase up the nose cleared that, came downstairs, put kettle on and went into the conservatory, where Prickles in currently residing.
Stuck my gloves on and looked in his cage, he was up as it was still dark, and has managed to eat all of his food and tip all his water over everywhere! We had a little 'chat' as I cleaned it all up and changed his bedding, then he settled down for the day ahead and for a good sleep.
The rain was pounding on the conservatory roof and the food we had put out for the pigeon had been blown over - oh forgot to tell you, pigeon was released on Saturday but he keeps coming back and sitting on the conservatory roof. The pigeon was nowhere to be seen though this morning so hoping he has found some shelter somewhere.
Anyway sat in the conservatory for a little while, hubby brought in my tea and I watched as the day brightened up even though it was raining. The squirrels fought over the food on the bird table, a couple of birds came down to see if any worms were about, other than that it was still outside apart from the wind rustling through the trees.
Very peaceful, very surreal.
Of course now I am showered and dressed, ready for work, but first I must pay a visit to the bank and set up a standing order for my son's swimming lessons. Youngest is already at school, my friend is doing the school run today and she needs to be at school early so she took him for me, I will be there at 11 and collect hers from school at 3.30 as she will have gone home. A busy day lies ahead but I feel prepared for it and positive today.
All I have to do is shift this cold, but hoping to pass a few germs on along the way
