Spread your wings and fly away

Ok still feeling down and depressed, but if anything, I have found out who my true friends are.

One on the phone to me yesterday, talking to me and gently helping me to sort all those thoughts in head you shouldn't have.

Another one who has done a lot of running around ferrying my son to and from school for me, doing the swim run as well.

Today I got up in a more positive mood, had a little as I stood under the shower and let the water cascade down over my aching shoulders and neck.

I decided I had to face the outside world and phoned my friend who had done all the running around and told her I would walk youngest to school. A decision I was later going to regret as my shoulder began to hurt like mad as I headed home and realised I would need to pop to the local tesco for some bread if I had any hope of having any breakfast today.

As I was a few steps away, another good friend and colleague phoned me on my mobile, demanding where I was. When I told her, she said she was coming to pick me up, that I should be resting and to meet her outside. I was tempted to say no but then realised stubbornness isn't my best character trait so agreed to meet her outside the shop.

And I have to say I am glad I did, because she took me home, made me a cup of tea, and we sat and chatted until it was time for her to head off to work.

At times like these you really know who you can rely on when you need it. So with all the help I have had, and with the quickenss of my friends husband to sort thec car and get it home for me I am so blessed to have so many good friends in my life.

Of course I haven't forgotten those of you on here that have put up with my whingeing and written such nice comments, plus the few that have emailed me personally.

thank you all for everything, I am on the mend, I am still sore, I am prone to bursting in tears over nothing, but I am getting there.
