Today has been lovely and relaxing so far.

I didn't get out of bed early, in fact I sprawled across it and read my book for a while. I had a phone call from my mother who is well and truly annoyed with Royal Mail. She sent me a birthday card with a cheque in it and it didn't arrive. So she sent me another cheque and that hasn't arrived either. In fact she also sent her request for a repeat prescription to her doctor, yet when she went to pick it up after seeing her doctor about another unrelated matter, she found out that hadn't arrived either.

So after a lengthy discussion about the post and how nothing has arrived from her neck of the woods, Boris's victory in London and generally putting the world to rights, I resettled down with my book and continued reading.

Not for long though.

Hubby purchased a playstation game yesterday, but it didn't work in either of the consoles we have, so obviously a trip to Hemel was needed in order to return it. This time the children came with us as they wanted to exchange some games they had as well. After this was accomplished we decided upon a trek to St. Albans to here
for dinner which was quite nice. It was something we used to do on a regular basis yet we haven't done for a while, so it was nice to go out as a family and eat a meal out for a change.

So now I am trying to catch up on a few missed posts and then perhaps do some ironing and chuck some clothes in the washing machine!
