  • Funny for a Friday

A lonely widow, age 70, decided that it was time to get married again.

She put an ad in the local paper that read:
    HUSBAND WANTED:
MUST BE IN MY AGE GROUP (70's),
    MUST NOT BEAT ME,
MUST NOT RUN AROUND ON ME &
MUST STILL BE GOOD IN BED!!!!!
ALL APPLICANTS PLEASE APPLY IN PERSON.

On the second day, she heard the doorbell. Much to her dismay, she opened
the door to see a grey-haired gentleman sitting in a wheelchair. He had no arms or legs.

The old woman said, 'You're not really asking me to consider you, are you?
Just look at you...you have no legs!

The old man smiled, 'Therefore, I cannot run around on you!'

She snorted. 'You don't have any arms either!'

Again, the old man smiled, 'Therefore, I can never beat you!'

She raised an eyebrow and asked intently, 'Are you still good in bed???'

The old man leaned back, beamed a big smile and said,
    'Rang the doorbell didn't I?'

  • Friday!!

Nig and I have just got back froom the gym. We trained for an hour, encouraging one another and makign sure we had got round all those torturous machines. Looks like I will have to go with Simon tomorrow, but I may just do the cv machines and not the weights.

mind you I have a bowling session booked, a night out with the quiz team for tomorrow, so plenty of exercise there!

Today was spent mainly moving lots of gear out of classrooms into other classrooms in an effort to help teachers move. By the time I had gone up and down the stairs several times I decided that I hate stairs with a vengence! That was exercise enough without having to go to the gym!

My youngest son had had a dyslexia screening test in the hope that if I had it done privately it might spur the school to speed up the process of getting him assessed. One of my concerns is how he will cope with year 6 next year, knowing that his self esteem is at an all time low and that he isn't coping with school at all. The results are back and they show he is severly dyslexic. His reasoning and visual memory skills are very high but reading, spelling and vocabulary are scoring very low indeed. Quite worrying really but at least now I have something to go on so can put up a fight now.

Right enough waffling on, time to soak my weary body and get a good night's sleep:)
