Walking the dogs yesterday evening, we went past Simon's old school and saw all the bright colours of the dresses against the dark colours of the tuxedos of the children as they piled into their various limousines. The parents, standing to one side, desperately trying to take photos of their loved ones before they climbed into their cars, wiping a tear or two from their eyes. The teachers waiting patiently nearby, making sure no one is left behind. The girl's giggling, the boys looking nervous and shuffling from foot to foot.

My own son not part of the prom set. He took the decision very early on that on the day that he walked out after his last exam, would be his last. He was not going back to that school. He was not going to mix with those kids that he did not like, had no respect for. Surprisingly enough a lot of his friends feel the same way and haven't gone to their prom either.

He was no doubt the talk of the year though. Yesterday his taster day at College, AS maths set, and he didn't sit with his friends from school that are going. He didn't sit with anyone from his school. He sat with a friend he made at Archaeology club, the one that he often gives advice to. They sat together giggling, the ones from his school wanting to know who she is. Hasn't done too bad for his street cred lol!

Today the sun shines again, they say it will rain later - nothing lasts for too long does it?

Right off to work I go!

Have a good day and sorry if I haven't replied to comments yet, will catch up soo:)

Hugs xxx
