My feet never get cold.

I am that person, who can get into a cold bed, and breath a sigh of relief that my feet will be cool against those cold sheets.

I am the one who hates wearing socks, as my feet feel too warm.

I sleep with my feet dangling over the edge of the bed, or on top of the duvet cover, even though the rest of my body will be buried under the duvet.

They are hot. They don't feel the cold.

Today, our town came to a standstill. There had been snow overnight, snow we weren't expecting, so of course, everything comes to a halt.

Traffic on the roads going nowhere.

Phones ringing non stop to see if the school will be open or not.

Roads not gritted.

Today, I put on socks, thick ones to go with my walking boots, as I know the car park at work will be treacherous, scrap the car off, get into it and head off to work. I leave earlier than usual, I'm not stupid, I know how bad it gets out there when it snows!

Bottom of the road, I indicate left, check it is clear, press gently on the accelerator, and start to move gently away only to end up facing the wrong direction - the road is a sheet of ice! It takes me ten minutes of slipping and sliding to get the car to face the correct way and continue my journey, a ten minute journey which today took and hour and 15 minutes of nose to tail movement! I am shaking.

Get to work, manage to get through the day and thankfully don't have a repeat of this morning on the way home. Finally set my feet free of their confines, only to find that I have cold feet.

Very cold feet!!

Might put them in warm water later!

Hope everyone stayed safe today.
