It has been a very hectic term, then end of which arrived today - hooray!

In the 4 and a half years I have been there, this is the first Christmas I have received any presents from children or cards - not that I expect any, but occasionally it is nice to be appreciated or acknowledged even.

Home at last, laden down with work that needs to be done over the next couple of weeks before we start a new term, I can relax and concentrate on Christmas. It will be quiet this year. MIL isn't coming to us, wanting to stay at home, eldest son working Christmas day, all day, so we may not get round to opening presents until Boxing day!

Those bloggers who have been here awhile, will know I love Christmas and we tend to go overboard on presents! A lot are DVDs, cheap ones we pick up from the shops mainly, for marathon film sessions at home. It sometimes works out cheaper than going to the cinema!

I do want to see the Hobbit though, but think it may be something we will wait for it to come out on DVD.

Tomorrow we will have to hit the shops early to get a turkey crown, vegetables, last minute bits and pieces and goodies for boxing day. I am thinking of going to Hemel with eldest as he still has some shopping to do, though his Dad may go with him on Sunday.

I have presents to wrap, presents that need to be distributed to my family in London and to my friend up here, birthday cards to distribute - honestly 2 people have a birthday on Sunday, 2 on Christmas Eve, 1 on Christmas day itself and 3 on Boxing day! Not one of them enjoys their birthday half as much as they enjoy Christmas!

We are out on Sunday with the Quizzers for our Christmas meal, not that hubby and I have been going much because the venue has recently changed and we don't like the pub it is being held at!

Then hopefully, come Christmas Eve, I will be able to relax, watch all my Christmas films and look forward to spending time with my hubby and two children, my family.

Hubby had an early Christmas present, a PPI pay out from his credit card company. We weren't expecting to get anything so every little helps:))

Right off to catch up on today's happenings in blogland.

Hugs x
