According to my favourite site Santa has got dressed, ably helped by Mrs Claus, has made his annual yuletide speech to his elves in the village square, and is now making sure his reindeer have been harnessed to the sleigh ready to take him around the world to deliver presents.

I am excited.

Something is afoot in Faffa's house, not sure what yet, no one is spilling the beans as they say, but there are several text messages going to and from my husband and my friends husband, and noone is telling me what it is all about!

In other news, we went out yesterday, with a few friends from the quiz team. This was last minute organisation, done by someone else this year due to certain people not giving out dates they were available etc. So we ended up having a Christmas pub meal at a nearby hostelry.

It was a disaster!

The food was tasteless, some of the party got their main course while the rest of us waited another half and hour before we got what we had ordered ( and you had to pre order it as well), hubby's dinner was sent back twice, then even though they gave him a new plate of food the third time it was still uneatable! He did get his money back! One of our party had a piece of fish that was so small you could barely see it, that went back twice! The brussels were so hard they could have knocked you out as they went flying across the table as we struggled to stick a fork in them. The roast potatoes were also hard and tasteless.

We got a free round of drinks but needless to say we will not be going back there! I hate poor service and poor food! Best of all, we were a party of twelve, seated at a long table, or rather several tables of varying heights put together, in what can only be described as a walkway, with people squeezing past our chairs constantly with their children in an effort to avoid burning themselves against the very hot radiator! We had asked to be moved only to be told they had no tables available to sit us at - it wasn't even that busy!
Definitely a place to avoid!

Right better get a move on, housework and ironing will not do itself unfortunately! Have a good day and a great Christmas!

merry-christmas....
